The speed depends on several factors, such as bag sizes, and operator experience. We are always puching the boundaries of our machines maximum speed. Our double machine, the Twinner, can for example run at an extraordinary speed of 400 BPM.
Can a packaging machine handle different types of film and bag sizes?
Yes, our packaging machines have the possibility to be converted tot different measurements. Converting can be done by simply replace a few parts. To be sure that our machines meet your requirements contact our sales department.

We believe in our products and stand behind them, therefore we offer a twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty for the original product. This limited warranty covers any defects or nonconformity resulting from faulty design, materials, or workmanship during the warranty period. During this warranty period, VDL Packaging will in case of a defect, repair the product, or replace the product with a product with equivalent functionality.
To obtain this warranty service, you must contact VDL PMB-UVA. The proof of purchase may be required to verify ownership.
VDL PMB-UVA reserves the right at any time, to modify or discontinue the warranty without notice. No rights can be derived from the above.

To prevent break down and jam it is important to clean and oil your machine regularly. To ensure the maximum lifetime of your machine we advise to regularly replace wear and tear parts on your machines such as cutting knives and needles.

How are bags made?
In general, a bag is made out of a roll of film. This film goes over the forming set of a specific bag style and is perfectly sealed to form a closed bag.
Some bags contain more additional features, such as holes, zips and handles. The handle holes are cut into the bags through a stamp. The zip is manufactured separately and can be sealed into the bag on a packaging machine.

Whate are the benefits of Vertical Form, Fill and Seal (VFFS) machinery?
Both pre-made and Vertical Form, Fill and Seal (VFFS) bags are commonly produced, but there are some benefits of VFFS bags against pre-made ones:
- A VFFS machine uses less floorspace than a pre-made bag production line
- VFFS bags has lower film material costs
- Our packaging machines are specifically engineered for the ease of operation
- High production output is possible on a VFFS machine
